Narrenstein walking tour

Stroll along the northern slope to the Haslach balcony, with views over Munster and the valley.
From the Place du Marché, walk down to the traffic lights, pass to the left of the Catholic church, then cross the bridge over the Fecht de la Petite Vallée to reach the fire station and the start of the Narrenstein circuit.
Take the Chemin du Narrenstein alongside the fire station and climb several hairpin bends to reach a place called Narrenstein, a lovely viewpoint over the roofs of Munster and the Grande Vallée. Continue uphill to reach Hexenplatz, the witches' square, a small plateau and a lovely place to take a break. Follow the path into the forest and continue straight on to Haslach. When you reach the first houses, follow the signs to the left, then go down the road for about 500 m to a bend at the bottom of the valley, where you leave the road and go right into the forest. When you reach large meadows, continue along the balcony route, which affords fine views. Near the village of Hohrod, the path leads to a small tarmac road which you follow to the left for 50 m before dropping right to a second small road which you follow again to the left to join a second balcony path, which leads back to Munster. After 1 km, at the end of this path, turn right and go down the "Fünf Pfennig Weg" path, to reach a small road on the left, which you go down for a few metres before leaving it, before the bridge on the left, to cross the Dubach meadows. After the shared gardens and the former stork enclosure, cross the bridge over the Fecht and continue straight ahead to reach the town center and the Place du Marché.
